Tree removal 1_edited.jpg

Tree Removal

1. Assessment: A certified arborist will assess the tree, considering its species, size, health, condition, and location. They'll also evaluate potential hazards and determine the best removal method.

2. Preparation: The arborist will create a plan for the removal, considering factors like power lines, nearby structures, and access points. They'll also obtain any necessary permits and arrange for proper disposal of the wood debris.

3. Removal: The actual removal technique will depend on the tree's size and situation. Common methods.

4. Cleanup: Once the tree is removed, the crew will clean up the debris, including branches, leaves, and wood chips.

Tree Pruning

Types of pruning:

  • Cleaning: Removing dead, diseased, or damaged branches.

  • Thinning: Selectively removing healthy branches to allow more light and air into the tree's interior.

  • Raising: Removing lower branches to create clearance for walkways, vehicles, or views.

  • Reduction: Shortening branches and leaders to control the overall size and shape of the tree.

  • Restoration: Correcting past mistakes like topping or improper pruning to rebuild a healthy structure.

Stump Grinding

  1. Prepping the Ground: Clear the area around the stump of rocks, debris, and anything that might dull the teeth. Consider wearing safety goggles and ear protection, because things are about to get loud and chip-tastic.

  2. Grinding Begins: The operator positions the grinder on the stump and lowers the wheel. With a controlled movement, they gradually grind down the wood, starting from the sides and working towards the center. The air fills with the sweet scent of sawdust and the satisfying roar of the engine.

  3. Grinding Deeper: Once the surface is pulverized, the operator takes the grinder deeper, inch by inch, until the desired depth is reached. This depth usually aims to level the ground or leave a few inches of wood chips below the surface.

  4. Cleanup Time: The area is swept clean of remaining wood chips, leaving a smooth, ready-to-use space. The wood chips can be used as mulch or composted, giving them a second life in your garden.
